VR SF Announces the Sale of a Specialty Food Importer and Distributor

September 1, 2008

"VR San Francisco said their process would produce the best buyer for us and it did, in half the time we expected," said Linda and Grant Fairlie, owners of JSI Importers and Distributors.

The owners knew they had to leave the US, where they made their home for the last decade, within a year of hiring the VR Team. VR was able to screen many qualified buyers, many of which moved forward in our process of purchasing a business.

"The key to our buying process is to screen out those buyers that are not qualified to purchase a specific business. While many buyers are financially qualified, other considerations such as experience or willingness to take the risks of a small business entrepreneur can eliminate many from the buying process", said George Arabian, President of VR Business Sales. "Our process also encourages and supports those buyers that match well with our business opportunities," continued Arabian.

JSI is a unique business that focused on Gourmet Food and High-end Chocolate Products from Europe. "We were pleased to have found a business that not only leverages our past business experience, but matches our passion for cooking and food" said Rick Buisson the purchaser of JSI. "VR SF did a fantastic job of understanding the risks inherit in this business and structuring the type of agreement that was fair to both parties, but provide some downside risk protection to us as buyers" continue Rick.
